Tuscan Village, the still-growing mixed-use development in Salem, N.H., has added several new tenants to its roster.

Popular national and regional brands, including Shake Shack, DryBar, Tavern in the Square, Sweetgreen, The Capital Grille, and West Elm, have chosen Tuscan Village for their first locations in New Hampshire. Natural and organic grocer Whole Foods Market plans to debut in early 2025.

The 170-acre project in its third phase of development sits across from Simon’s Mall at Rockingham Park off I-93, just 30 miles from Boston.

The new additions to the center come following the opening of The Artisan hotel at Tuscan Village last fall, a concept that is part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio. The Rooftop Bar & Lounge that offers Jazz nights, dinners, brunches, private events, and more are also drawing traffic to Tuscan Village, according to Tuscan Brands.

"Tuscan Village is becoming a popular destination for brands looking to establish their presence in New Hampshire due to the experiences we created for retailers to offer to their customers, our visitors, and ultimately the community,” said Michael Powers, senior VP of leasing at Tuscan Brands. “At Tuscan Village, we prioritize our guests' experience and strive to provide them with the best brands and retailers. We feel privileged to have welcomed several new shopping concepts and dining destinations to our community, and we look forward to continuing to do so."

In 2016, Tuscan Brands acquired the former site of Rockingham Park, the Boston metro’s historic horse racing track, with the vision of transforming it into a 3.8M-sq.-ft. mixed-use destination. In addition to retail shops and restaurants, Tuscan Village also features more than 1,500 residences, including the 18 Artisan condominiums and the Hanover Toscana apartments.

Tuscan Village was named No. 2 on Chain Store Age’s “Top 10 Retail Center Experiences” list last year.
