  • New retail leases signed at Shoppes @ 104

    Kendall Lakes, Fla. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said that two new merchants have leased space at its Shoppes @ 104 shopping center, in Kendall Lakes, Fla.

    Yogurtini has leased 1,400 sq. ft. of retail space, and Great Clips has leased 1,344 sq. ft. The 108,192-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Winn-Dixie, alongside national retailers such as The UPS Store, Subway and GNC.
     

  • Indian grocer to open at Loehmann’s Plaza

    Sunnyvale, Calif. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said that Indian Bazaar has leased 4,480 sq. ft. at Loehmann’s Plaza in Sunnyvale, Calif.

    The new grocery store is slated to open in May 2012.

    The 113,309-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by CVS/pharmacy alongside national retailers including Safeway, Nail Time and Starbucks.

     

  • Steadfast Capital names chief marketing officer

    Irvine, Calif. -- Steadfast Cos. said that Richard Gann has been hired as chief marketing officer for Steadfast Capital Markets Group, the company’s securities and financial services division.

    In the newly created role, Gann will oversee strategic marketing functions to assist in the overall positioning and growth of the Steadfast Income REIT, the company’s $1.65 billion public, non-traded real estate investment trust, as well as future alternative investment programs.
     

  • Lindt Factory Outlets opens seventh temp store at WS center

    Chestnut Hill, Mass. -- WS Development announced that chocolatier Lindt has increased its outlet presence by adding a seventh temporary store this holiday season at a WS shopping center. The Swiss chocolate manufacturer and retailer began its relationship with WS in the spring with temporary stores at six WS Development locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Lindt opened its seventh Lindt Factory Outlet within the WS Development portfolio last month at The Crossing at Smithfield. All seven stores will remain in place through the holidays.

  • General Growth names CFO

    Chicago -- Mall owner General Growth Properties said Tuesday it has appointed Michael B. Berman as its new executive VP and CFO, effective Dec. 15.

    Berman replaces Steve Douglas, who will return to Brookfield Asset Management after his tenure with GGP and assume a role with Brookfield. Douglas will remain with GGP until December 31 to assist with the transition.

  • Dunkin' Brands to open 27 new locations in Louisiana

    Canton, Mass. -- Dunkin' Brands Group said Tuesday it has signed agreements to develop 25 new Dunkin' Donuts and two Baskin-Robbins in Louisiana over the next several years.

    Cities targeted for development include Baton Rouge, Shreveport and New Orleans.

    "The state of Louisiana has been a priority growth market for Dunkin' Brands in 2011 and we're excited to expand our footprint in Baton Rouge, Shreveport and New Orleans," said Grant Benson, VP franchising and market planning, Dunkin' Brands.

  • Chipotle Mexican Grill to open at Corbin’s Center

    West Hartford, Conn. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said that Chipotle Mexican Grill will open a new restaurant at Corbin’s Center, located in West Hartford, Conn.

    The 3,500-sq.-ft. restaurant is slated to open October 2012.

    Corbin’s Center, at 186,163 sq. ft., is anchored by Trader Joe’s alongside national retailers such as Best Buy, Old Navy and Toys “R” Us.

  • Present Value Properties negotiates six Menchie's leases in California

    Tustin, Calif. -- Present Value Properties said it has represented Menchie's in six California lease transactions for the frozen yogurt purveyor.

    A Menchie's franchisee signed a five-year lease for 1,637 sq. ft. in Orange, in a center anchored by Petco and Michaels. Menchie's will open in first quarter 2012.

    In Whittier, Menchie’s will open a 1,250-sq.-ft. shop at Santa Fe Springs Plaza in early 2012. The center is anchored by Food For Less, and is currently undergoing a remodel.
