  • Crossroads to lease, manage Veterans Square

    Lyndhurst, N.J. -- Crossroads Cos. has been named leasing agent and property manager for Veterans Square Shopping Center, located on New York Avenue in Lyndhurst, N.J.

    The 144,400-sq.-ft. neighborhood shopping center’s tenant roster includes a free-standing ShopRite, Home Goods and a mix of national, regional and neighborhood businesses.

  • Douglas Development taps CBRE to lease Penn Quarter project

    Washington, D.C. -- Douglas Development said it has teamed with CBRE on a new boutique office and retail project in Washington, D.C.’s Penn Quarter neighborhood.

    The 11-story office building will occupy approximately 93,000 sq. ft., and include 7,000 sq. ft. of ground-floor retail space. The building will offer two floors of below grade parking, outdoor terraces, and a terracotta façade.

  • Elixir inks deal for two Manhattan storefronts

    New York -- Elixir Juice Bar has leased two more stores in Manhattan, according to Winick Realty Group, which represented the brand in both of its recent New York leases.

    Elixir will occupy 70 Greenwich Avenue, located between Seventh Avenue South and Sixth Avenue in the heart of the West Village. Elixir has also leased a location in the Upper East Side. The 500-sq.-ft. store is located at 1371 Third Avenue, between 78th and 79th Streets.

     

  • KTGY designs $43 million apartment/retail community

    Irvine, Calif. -- KTGY Group announced that Hutton Cos. has launched construction on La Verne Village, a 172-unit mixed-use residential and retail community in La Verne, Calif., located in the San Gabriel Valley, east of Los Angeles.

    Situated on the site of a former automobile dealership on 7.69 acres, the La Verne Village luxury apartment homes are integrated within the village-center court, complete with more than 15,000 sq. ft. of integrated retail shopping and dining.

  • HSA Commercial breaks ground on adaptive reuse retail development

    Milwaukee -- Chicago-based HSA Commercial joined leaders from the City of Wauwatosa to celebrate the groundbreaking of Phase I of The Mayfair Collection, a large-scale, mixed-use development at Highway 45 and Burleigh Street in suburban Milwaukee.

    Phase I of the project will consist of adaptively repurposing functionally obsolete warehouse buildings along Highway 45 into new, contemporary retail environments.

  • Hobby Lobby to make Oregon debut

    Albany, Ore. -- Vintage Real Estate said that it has signed a lease with Hobby Lobby for a 61,000-sq.-ft. store at the Heritage Mall, marking the arts-and-crafts retailer’s first location in Oregon.

    Hobby Lobby will be located in a former Gottschalks space.  It is expected to open in the first quarter of 2014. “Our ability to quickly fill this long-vacant space is a major step in the execution of our renovation and repositioning plans for Heritage Mall,” said general manager Betsy Penson.

  • SRS Real Estate hires senior associate

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners said that Townsand Cropsey has joined the firm as senior associate in the Newport Beach office.

    Cropsey will focus on tenant representation and investment services.



    The company also announced that Katie Carlisle has been named an associate in the Austin office. Carlisle is actively involved in project leasing and tenant representation with a focus on development. She comes to SRS from The Retail Connection.

     

  • PBteen to make SoCal debut

    San Francisco -- Parent company Williams-Sonoma said that its PBteen banner will open its first store in southern California, at The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, June 1.
     
    The store will be anchored around a PBteen Design Lab, where teens and their parents can engage with the brand and its products by digitally creating a personalized room on a computer monitor. Using drag and drop technology, teens can experiment with different room configurations and color combinations and see it come to life on a television screen overhead.

  • DDR opens Belgate Shopping Center

    Charlotte, N.C. -- Beachwood, Ohio-based DDR Corp. has announced the opening of Belgate Shopping Center, the company's first ground-up domestic development in over four years.

    Belgate is a 100% leased, 900,000-sq.-ft. prime power center located in Charlotte, N.C., anchored by Ikea, Walmart and a complimentary lineup of junior anchors including Marshalls, Ulta, Old Navy, Petco, Cost Plus World Market, Hobby Lobby and Shoe Carnival.
